ferrovial.
During 2017, CTA has started working on the ambitious project AEROTRESNAK: “Smart Fixture for large Aeronautical Components based on
Industrie 4.0”, within
the ELKARTEK 2017 calling, funded by the Basque Country Government. AEROTRESNAK
is a strategic project of fundamental collaborative research in which six different
research groups take part:
The
Aeronautical Technologies Centre (leader), the Advanced Manufacturing Group FAR
(UPV/EHU – Mechanical Engineering), Applied Photonics Group APG (UPV/EHU –Telecommunications),
Advanced Control Group GCA (UPV/EHU – Engineering Systems and Automation),
MONDRAGON GOI ESKOLA POLITEKNIKOA (EPS-MU) and TECNALIA.
The
main goal of this project is the development of diverse technologies, which
will be merged in a new concept of smart fixture design for large aeronautical components.
The research will be focused on light, versatile, modular and reconfigurable
architectures, where there will be integrated the actuation and monitoring
systems in order to real-time control the processes of manufacturing,
assembling and testing of aeronautical components. This project lasts two years
and will provide diverse future technologies which will be available and will
benefit the aeronautical companies (among others) located in the Basque Country.
