CTA has signed recently the collaboration contract
with Diputación Foral de Álava with the aim of continuing with the development
strategy of space technology that CTA has been doing in the last years within SPACEPAP: Desarrollo de Tecnologías
Espaciales project.
During the development of SPACECAP Project in 2017,
CTA will continue with the development of the pyroshock test bench available
nowadays at CTA with the aim of increasing the capacities of the bench in order
to be able to perform shock test on larger and heavier specimens at higher shock
level.
The
objective of these tests is to simulate the pyrotechnic crashes to which the
most sensitive elements of the space systems are subjected (electronic
components, positioning mechanisms, optical instruments, etc.) to verify that
they will not be damaged throughout their useful life.
