EL PROYECTO DIEMETEN LLEGA A SU FIN CON RESULTADOS ALTAMENTE SATISFACTORIOS - DIEMETEN PROJECT COMES TO AN END WITH HIGHLY SATISFACTORY RESULTS

This project has been carried out within the framework of the State R + D + i program "RETOS COLABORACIÓN" call of the MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND COMPETITIVENESS.
In the last annuity of the project, preliminary tests on the developed technologies have been concluded. After analyzing the results obtained, those technologies that offered the best performance were optimized, among which we can mention the load application systems, intelligent tooling, stress measurement methodology by infrared thermography and accelerated fatigue testing system.
The final validation stage of the technological developments has been carried out through its application on a real aircraft empennage. The passive elements of the test rig have been assembled together with all the developments generated in this project and a fatigue sequence corresponding to this type of aeronautical component has been conducted. The results obtained have been analyzed and a high degree of correlation with conventional systems has been demonstrated, evidencing the greater flexibility and high potential of these new technologies.
DIEMETEN project comes to an end with highly satisfactory results.

CIERRE DE ANUALIDAD 2017 EN PROYECTO ACTIMAT / CONCLUSSION OF TASKS FOR 2017 PERIOD IN ACTIMAT PROJECT

CTA has ended the activities planned in 2017 within the ACTIMAT project of the ELKARTEK call.
During this period CTA has carried out different tests aimed at the characterization of different materials developed by the members of the ACTIMAT consortium.

The tests carried out consisted of low and high speed tests, carried out using different impact benches existing at CTA (Simavant test bench and impact cannon). These test benches were used to impact different panels manufactured during the project in order to study their behavior against impact, using Infrared thermography.

DESARROLLO DE TECNOLOGÍAS ESPACIALES EN CTA / SPATIAL TECHNOLOGIES DEVELOPMENT IN CTAl Technologies Developmenta at CTA

CTA has signed recently the collaboration contract with Diputación Foral de Álava with the aim of continuing with the development strategy of space technology that CTA has been doing in the last years within SPACEPAP: Desarrollo de Tecnologías Espaciales project.
During the development of SPACECAP Project in 2017, CTA will continue with the development of the pyroshock test bench available nowadays at CTA with the aim of increasing the capacities of the bench in order to be able to perform shock test on larger and heavier specimens at higher shock level.
The objective of these tests is to simulate the pyrotechnic crashes to which the most sensitive elements of the space systems are subjected (electronic components, positioning mechanisms, optical instruments, etc.) to verify that they will not be damaged throughout their useful life.
