On October 16th, 2013 the visit of the Topic Manager of the WISDOM European project for CleanSky call took place at the facilities of CTA.

The WISDOM project, carried out by the SERTEC, CTA, TEAMS consortium, seeks to verify that principal component tests can be performed on flight test aircrafts. Therefore it is proposed to test different configuration types of outer wings of a Smart Fixed Wing Aircraft, adopting innovative solutions for the design and manufacturing of the structural test equipment.

The activities carried out by CTA in this project are directly related to the design and manufacturing of the innovative test rig, as well as the performance of the tests and analysis of the final results. CTA is also involved in this project to develop a methodology for monitoring the stress state of the specimen tested by Infrared Thermography.
