In March of this year ATEAERO project has ended - "Development and validation of a New Generation landing gear door for future single-aisle aircraft." This industrial research project was developed under the call of the Basque Government ETORGAI.
The consortium, led by Fibertecnic, was composed of 6 companies: Fibertecnic, Aernnova Engineering Division (AED), Danobat Fibra, Mecanoplástica, Análisis y Simulación (AyS) y Aernnova Manufacturing Engineering (AME).
The main objective of the project was the design and validation of a new door structure consisting of a coating stiffened with longitudinal and transverse stringers structurally optimized and high level of integration. For this, various techniques related to the manufacture of composite developed.
The tasks performed in CTA have included support to project management to Fibertecnic, and the design and development of test and modeling technologies to reduce development times and product pre-validate the developed structure. The tests were conducted on one of the components manufactured with technologies developed in the project ATEAERO, with satisfactory results.

During 2016 CTA has carried out the Project SPACECAP VIII: Desarrollo de Tecnologías Espaciales. This Project is part of the development strategy of space technology that CTA has been doing in the last years with the collaboration of Diputación Foral de Álava.
During the development of the Project CTA has continued with the labor began in previous years and aimed in the development of thermal vacuum technology. Thus, during this period, CTA is carrying out the development of a new thermal vacuum chamber focused in small space components which will allow reducing consumptions and reaching test levels faster, increasing the competitiveness of this type of tests.
