The twelfth edition of the International Congress of Infrared Thermography "Quantitative InfraRed Thermography - QIRT 2014" took place in the French city of Bordeaux in last July. This international conference has been held since 1992 and meets every two years the leading researchers and technologists worldwide to share their progress and results of research conducted in the field of thermography, covering application areas as diverse as medicine, preventive maintenance, non-destructive testing and restoration of works of art.

CTA has been participating actively in this conference since its beginnings and this time neither missed the meeting, conducting an oral presentation of the results of recent research focused on the process of automating the detection of defects present in aeronautical composite materials using infrared thermography ( File available here
).

In addition to the oral presentation at the congress CTA had the opportunity to participate in technical and business forums presenting its capabilities as well as the main projects which are currently active, among them:
  • NEUTER: Regional project by SAIOTEK call.
  • VIBRATION: European project by VII Framework Programme
